PAGEMARK TECHNOLOGY ENTERS THE DOCUMENT SECURITY MARKET WITH AN INNOVATIVE DOCUMENT AUTHENTICATION SOLUTION
Introduces PELTA™, document security for high-value documents targeting corporations, and government agencies and organizations
REDMOND, Wash. Nov. 15, 2010 --- Pagemark Technology, Inc., an industry leading expert in the adoption of electronics paper solutions, today announced a networked software solution that enables enterprises, agencies, and organizations to secure high-value printed and electronic documents. Many organizations generate high-value documents such as prescriptions, contracts, official documents and certificates. Given the technology available on today's desktop computers, incidents of counterfeit and fraud have increased generating huge losses worldwide. Pagemark Technology's PELTA serves to protect these important and critical documents.
Pagemark Technology will be demonstrating PELTA at Information Management Institute, Inc. 7th Annual Security Printing Conference on November 15-17, 2010 at the Hollywood Beach Marriott, Hollywood (Fort Lauderdale), Florida, USA.
PELTA is a solution that fits easily within the current workflow of an office. Users who typically create important documents can now electronically and physically secure documents as authentic. By using standard applications such as Microsoft Office running on Windows or Macintosh systems, creators of high-valued documents can use their existing workflows without the need to introduce difficult and complex steps for inserting security into their printed document.
"Protection against counterfeit and fraud is becoming very important to agencies and corporate offices these days. Today's desktop computers and printers are capable of fraudulently creating documents which in every respect appear to be an official document," says RanDair Porter President of Pagemark Technology. "The PELTA solution uniquely inserts technology into the printed or archived document allowing the document to be easily confirmed as authentic."
Many available document authentication technologies today rely on special paper and inks and require specialized equipment or lenses to verify authenticity. The PELTA system is unique and provides ease of authentication by use of ubiquitous smart phones, web cameras or desktop scanners running specialized reader software.
PELTA is built upon modern document technology such as XML Paper Specification (XPS), and 2D barcodes. In addition to embedding security features to the printed or electronic document the PELTA solution includes a host of features such as Secure Reversible Redaction, Time Stamping, Variable Data Watermarks, Sequential or Unique Number Generation, 2D Barcodes, Overt and Covert messages, Simultaneous Print and Archive. The solution also includes a document viewer for viewing secured information.
The Pagemark PELTA solution will be available in January of 2011. Customer specific implementations may be available now. Please inquire for more information at pagemarktechnology.com
